whats turnaround strategy, how do u get to know when a company has a "turnaround"?

Well , As per i know Turnaround is a case when a company works on its strategies and pulls itself out of losses ! Turnaround is when a company which is into losses brings itself out of it and starts making profit. If m not wrong turnaround is sad only if the company shows profit consistently for certain years else its not turnaround.

yes it should be 2 years in a row when the company files profit on its sheets ! There are many activities that are done within a company in order to have a successfull turnaround. Many companies restructure there organizational structure and lay offs as part of their efforts for turnaround.

An another Positive movement the company, during 2006 successfully trimmed $9 bn in fixed costs i.e. , about $2,000 from every car sold exceeding its target of $ 6 bn reduction, and even more was in pipeline.

The overall goal of turnaround strategy is to return an underperforming or distressed company to normal in terms of acceptable levels of profitability, solvency, liquidity and cash flow.

Turnaround strategy is described in terms of how the turnaround strategy components of managing, stabilising, funding and fixing an underperforming or distressed company are applied over the natural stages of a turnaround.
